Christmas to me is a reminder of the great universal truth:
Believing is seeing, not seeing is believing
When did you stop to believe in Santa Claus? Santa Claus is a profoundly powerful archetypal symbol of fun, hope, joy and gifts of life. It is never too late to slowly start to believe in the miracles of life again.
On a personal note, this Christmas I am the “most alone” I have ever been in my life, and yet I am the “least lonely” I have ever been. What a contradiction of life experience? No, I don’t intend to stay alone all my life, but some alone time is good for my soul and development.
I am a Christmas songs and movies freak. All of home alone (my favorite being home alone 2), all of Santa Claus, Elf, Polar Express. I put up a cute little Christmas tree today. Going to a friends party on Christmas day, going to candle light service at a church with a friend on Christmas eve, hanging out in the Union Square in San Francisco (awesome lights).
Lots of fun. I am bit sad that all the festivities come and go so quickly. But, I am sure, I will find more fun things to do after this.
What are you up to? Send me a note if you like.
Whatever your situation, have as much fun as you can. Fun is awesome for the soul. If you are going through a challenging time, have hope and faith that next Christmas will be a lot better.
Merry Christmas from my heart to yours and I pray for everyone’s well-being during this holiday season.
